Following the supreme court’s decision that voting would continue as-planned on Tuesday, Wisconsin held its Democratic primary in the midst of a pandemic. Encouraging voters to turn out, Republican Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, speaking to reporters in an end-of-days hazmat suit, informed voters that it was “incredibly safe” outside:
The televised appearance is part of state Republicans’ Rob-the-Vote campaign, which aims to reduce Democratic turnout in the general election by increasing turnout in their primary.
A Meaty Opinion
An unlikely hero emerged Tuesday as the voice of reason amidst the deluge of “breaking” news stories, misinformation and noise that has overwhelmed the public. Steak-umm—yes, Steak-umm, the purveyor of frozen “sandwich steaks”—had this cautionary message about the dissemination of knee-jerk information in the midst of the pandemic:

Swedish Exceptionalism
As we reported Monday, the death toll continues to rise in Sweden, which has followed an unorthodox strategy in response to the Coronavirus pandemic, eschewing lockdowns in favor of relying on classic Swedish exceptionalism to prevent a full-blown pandemic.

As Americans adjust to new orders to wear masks in public and the internet debates whether Coronavirus is airborne or not, NHK, Japan’s National Broadcasting Network, in combination with researchers, produced the following video, which seems to show microdroplet particles suspending in the air for extended periods of time.
Japan is the latest nation to order a national stay-at-home order, as Coronavirus cases increased to 4,257 there as of Tuesday morning.
